Issue with screen height on Galaxy s3 running android 4.3

I feel like I've looked all over the web for this solution. I've tried injecting $ionicScrollDelegate to use the resize() method - this didn't work, I've even wrapped this in a $timeout with a 1 second delay - again this didn't work.

Any help would be much appreciated.
