Hide device keyboard when entering state

On the iPhone device when I navigate to my app's profile state as soon as I enter it the devices keyboard pops up! The profile state consist of a form for the user to update their information. I would like for the keyboard to show ONLY when the user touches the input fields.

Does anyone know how I can disable the keyboard when I enter the state?
